Installed a new 30% MGW shifter this morning. All the posted opions, (upon which I decided to buy mine,) are absolutely on target. Though mine is still a little tight until it wears in with a little use, the shifts are very short, precise like a razor blade, and find their intended destination (gear) almost by themselves. IMHO, great product. Regards, GRT
BTW: The 15% vs 30% dilemma is solved for all future buyers, in that 15% models are no longer manufactured. Worked for me!!
I installed mine earlier this week and just got back from the first test drive. I'm totally blown away by how smooth, deliberate and precise it is. There is never a question whether or not you're in gear. Awesome. I ordered the gripper **** to replace my delrin race **** and am much happier. It feels great whatever position your hand is in. Throw in the towel, you need this shifter...
Just received mine yesterday but won't be able to install it for a couple of weeks. My initial impressions are that this is the best built shifter I have ever seen. George has designed a beautiful product and the machining, fit and finish are world-class. This coming from somebody who has been around aerospace mfg. for over 20 yrs.
It's a great shifter. Had my 30% version for about 6 months now. Upgraded from a Hurst (which was also pretty good). I just had an RPM V trans installed at ECS, and the MGW shifter works very well with that. Very crisp shifting.
Which shifter bracket do you guys like better? The straight one or the laid back one? Not the **** , but the arm
The MGW seller told me that the slightly to the right non threaded (c6) model is not noticeably different once installed. Personally, I chose the c5 threaded model, because I felt that it gave me greater choices to switch *****. If later on a c6 **** is desired, one can buy and affix the non threaded shaft c6 later, for $25.00.

I have a B&M shifter and generally like it except for the great deal of additional side-to-side effort. 1st through 4th is OK, but 5th, 6th, and reverse are annoying.

Can anyone make a comparison with the MGW?
Thanks!
I understand the "Anti Venom" mod helps allot. I haven't done it yet but will soon. It only involves backing out the detent bolt & adding 2 washers .05 thick, tighten. Gives it a little more room. Do a search...there is a picture where the detent bolt is located.
