Welcome to the club. I joined not too long ago and let me tell you, "this is where it's at." You will not find a better class of people from any other car owner out there. (I hope that makes sense.) I have needed parts, help and advice, since getting mine. I am sure you will need the same. There is no other car owner like a vette owner. With the click of your mouse you have a brotherhood, waiting to help. In this forum, genuine and helpful is the norm, rude and unyielding the minority. Good luck on the purchase and hope to see your pics.
Black top and interior. HUD, Ride selection, Auto, Power telescoping steering, polished rims with original tires....Should I think about changing 11,000 mile 8 year old tires? and lots of other stuff I'm still reading about.
Take a close look at them. If they're not weather cracked or checked, don't worry about them. They do get kinda stiff after a few years so it might ride a little harsh. You won't care, trust me. I'll bet it's beautiful! I've got a Torch Red `01 with Torch Red interior and a white top. I like the black on red, a lot.......
Thanks so much guys for the warm welcome and all the great advice. I had posted here a few times during my search for a C5 and you all gave me the info I needed on what to look for when choosing a car......loose driver seat, leaking seals on the diff, service records on the ignition switch, etc. That was all a tremendous help and gave me a bit of confidence on what to look for when buying. I know this will be a great place to hang my Corvette hat although I'll need to buy one with a C5 emblem instead of the C2 I now wear!! I thank you for all the kind words and I have no doubt I'm going to enjoy this car!!
make sure you latch you top before you drive off after having it off...seems as though there are some that have forgot to so and learned the hard way as I have been reading on here as of late..2 latches in the front, 1 latch in the back.....just a lil fyi. congrats and have fun!
Welcome - Not far from you Olmsted Falls Area - 2001 vert - with 22k miles - Congrats on the C-5 and look to see you around at some shows. I picked up a nice indoor cover online - made for the vet with the little emblem on the front - had to still show whats under the cover.

Still have the C-2?
Yep I still have the "64 and hope to have time for it too. I go to the Brunswick Rt.42 show quite often and the Quaker State in Elyria once in awhile but other than that don't get to your area too much. Hope to see you if you attend either of those. Dave
