Just bought a 2001 Torch Red Vert. with 11,000 miles on it and know little about these cars other than they're alot different than my C2. I even had trouble finding the gas door open button the first time out and had to read the manual so you know I'll be lurking around here alot. Pictures to follow if this Ohio weather ever finally breaks into Spring!
I need to buy a car cover and would appreciate suggestions on covers you guys have bought and use and are happy with. Indoor use only and something that will leave me enough cash for food and shelter after I buy it. Thanks for any suggestions you might have. Dave
Welcome and as I am sure you know this forum is a great place. The C5 guys are a tough crowd, but will go extra lengths to help out. Sounds like you have a nice ride. Good luck.
What color top and interior? Welcome to the forum. Enjoy that puppy!
Black top and interior. HUD, Ride selection, Auto, Power telescoping steering, polished rims with original tires....Should I think about changing 11,000 mile 8 year old tires? and lots of other stuff I'm still reading about.
Welcome to the Forum, I think you'll find it very helpful, and congrats on the new purchase! I know you'll love that Vette. I found an indoor car cover at Sams Club a
couple of years back, it's not really made for a C5, but it fits good enough anyway
especially for an inside cover, which I recommend highly, not so much for keeping
it clean, but for hand prints, things falling on it, etc., anyway, the price was very
reasonable, like around $30, but it has worked well for me, Good Luck!
I just picked up a 2001 with 2900 miles and i dont think i'm going to worry about 8 year old tires.....i'll run 'em until they start making a lot of noise. I keep my car in a separate storage garage, and I don't use a cover. The car gets washed every weekend before it gets used anyways.
Excellent, hello and welcome i also have the original tires on my vere , just have a tire installer look at them and see if they need to be changed, i bought my cover from southern car parts, not sure if they are a vendor here, i think i paid 129$ very descent cover, enjoy, and yes i know about the weather , it will get better soon i hope
Congrats on the new ride and welcome to what I would describe as the most invaluable Corvette accessory... The Corvette Forum. Looking forward to seeing some pics.
