The one edit I did was to cut the back out of the turns. There is still enough surface-area and adhesive to hold everything in place. Just where it is turning required this. This made it a LOT easier to install and keep straight.
I respectfully disagree. I think it looks great the way it is. Finally, an alternative to screens.
I was going to respond to this, but thought better of it. Changed my mind and I'm sure I will not be making any friends by doing so.
Here is my opinion on screens. Although there are some fantastic screen mods, it only makes sense to have screens on anything that is an "intake", whether functional or for appearance. Anything that is or appears to be an "exhaust" should be free of obstructions (screens). In short, any opening as viewed from the front of the vehicle could be screened to keep out debris. Any opening as viewed from the rear of the vehicle (gill openings) would most likely be an exhaust and therefore should be free of any restrictions.
great work...this is what's been missing from all the cheap aftermarket screen kits for almost a decade now. If I were you I would copyright your idea cause some sleazy vendor is going to steal your thunder and charge $200 for a set to do the whole car. I think you should get all the credit for it and the work you put into the instructions.
Picked up a couple sets of edging today, might try and give this a shot tomorrow, wish me luck. Did you take the wheel off on each side and remove the wheel well panel to get to the coves?

I did not take the wheels off. You will get the hang of the lack of room eventually....LOL
As you fit it on, and when you determine EXACTLY where the bends are, on the inside of the edging, cut small slits toward the center about 1/4 inch apart, but not all the way to the center, and it will form MUCH better.
