my uncle and i were driving my 99 vette about 4 years ago and my uncle put it to the floor and we spun off the road and tore off a piece of plastic from the front of the car... i think it was one of the air dams but im no expert since i inhierted this car. by the way im 17. but the side of the car droops, the metal does not line up from the hood to the door. its off by a few inches. does anyone know what this could be ??? is it damage to the frame or just comestic damage? sorry if i sound stupid im only 17. any help would be appreciated
First of all, it's not metal, the Vette panels are all a composite material. Take it to a reliable body shop and get a detailed estimate. Also, if there is a Corvette club close to you, get to know a couple of the members and you'll gain lots of info.
PS- if you didn't inherit the car from your UNCLE, I'd be having a chat about his involvement in the cost of repairing the car. JMHO

haha i inherited it from my grandfather. but hes going to help me fix it. do u think i should fix by hand or make him take it to a shop and have a pro do it ?
That damage you have is minor, just the front bumper cover. It looks totally unrelated to the issue you have up around the fenders and doors. It looks to me like that car was in a front end collision at one point and now the panels aren't lining up just right. Did you ever get any of the history of the car or a car fax done? If the damage bugs you hang a new bumper cover on there and take it to a local shop to have it resprayed. You could possibly get a used cover from the for sale section, maybe even in torch red. Then again, being 17 you might want to wait a few years...you may have some more damage coming your way till you get a little more experience
You can loosen the screws on the fenders and adjust it some that way. That might make it look better until you can get it to a shop. Good Luck and Welcome to the forum
I'd say the fenders could be adjusted. There are screws along the panels which can le adjusted to realign the panel with the door.
The front fender looks like it needs replacing to me as the integrity may be gone with that crack. Mind you if you take it to a pro they can do miracles.
PM me if you want a copy of the repair instructions from the manual
