Not a look I care for, but you're the one that has to make the ultimate decision since it's your car.

They're fine. If you like em' that all that counts! Not what someone else thinks or wants on your car!!

I dont think I could do it. Im thinking of taking off my door saver things (what ever they are called) But then again it is your car and if you like it thats all that matters.

IMHO they are cheesy.
Lets be honest.. being my first true muscle car or real performance car (my history was in motorcycles and trucks), I've seen a lot of cheesy things done both to American and ricer cars. Heck when I was in my 20's I did the same thing on my rice rockets - I am being honest here.
Putting a big *** wing on the back of a car for example that we all know the car cannot run the speeds on the street to make it purposeful is just cheesy and a look at me poser thing.
If you want your car to look classy, tastefully conservative is the way to go, since classy is tasteful yet conservative IMHO. All you have to do is look at the high end luxury cars to get the vibe of what classy is.
Now I believe we all live in America and do what you want, but I go thru the same debate but with me: I've always wanted a car with race stripes going over the top of it. IMHO though, I think it "cheesifies" my C5Z if I did it, even if I had them painted on the car in the form of "ghosting" like the way they do "ghost flames" on a Harley.
So I stick with solid black, and maybe I'll go with some tinted windows for now. Down the road I may go FI, but not in the form of needing a new hood which sticks out like a sore thumb, or maybe go with a conservative fend flair at the rear for some bigger meats but that's about it. I even debate an exhaust mod now-a-days since the TI mufflers sound pretty good, and I don't want to be too offensive to the public since I am trying to stay tasteful with the car.
Now if you really don't care what others think, go for it.. you are paying the bills bro and I appreciate and relish that individuality otherwise it would be a boring world and that individuality and freedom is what makes America great.

Does anyone have a photo of the ones that R K sports make for the side vents.
I have seen them on a silver car, But I would like to know what they look like on a Magnetic red C5
Thanks, Dave

I'm looking at getting my first Corvette, a 2001 Targa. It's a gorgeous black with ZO-6 wheels/brakes. It's got body color vent strakes which look pretty cool to me, but I'm a little worried about the "bling" factor. Are these generally considered a nice touch, or "over the top"?
I know it's probably a silly question, but my OCD brain has a tendency to focus on stupid stuff. Whaddyagonnado?
