In the future you might want to consider more research before you attempt a mod. I think I read every single thread I could find on here and every single link I could find on google before I attempted to install my vararam. Even tho it came with directions it didn't hurt to be prepared. I can't tell you how many times I've bought items to find that the instructions weren't worth a crap and not everything has a great support forum like this. Hope your install goes well and enjoy the new lights

I'm going to be putting together a DIY on this forum so next time I can just point you to a link. Sorry about the problem. I still have to finish my 6 year commitment in the AF (that's why I wasn't available yesterday). I started that before I became a vendor. 2 months left!!

Default installed and awesome

Well guys thanks to all that gave tips and advice thanks.I hit it this morn and took about 4hr on the whole deal.I had to remove the whole light housing. The driver side was the toughest but hey its was the first time.I have my resistors mounted perfect and ballast also. The install is clean and nice.I was in panic mode yesterday.Had to trouble shoot the driver side. When first hooked it up and put juice to it,it didn't fire.Gave a call to a member Junkman and he gave tips.30 mins later we have light.Tested the lights in a mock up mode.Up and down about 8 time.Cleaned all the housing and shroud. Also installed my blkouts while the lights were out.Pass side took about 45mins.Cleaned all the goods that are hard to get to with lights in the car. These things are awesome.

Thanks folks....Now I want fogs.

Congrats. Now that you've had the headlights out once, remember how easy it is and install your fogs the same way.

Seriously, good for you. Glad to hear it all worked out.

Save yourself a lot of hassle and do the fogs from underneath using the access panels.
1. Twist old bulb counter clockwise, pull out of housing.
2. Unplug old bulb from stock connection
3. Insert HID bulb into housing, twist clockwise to lock into place
4. Plug FACTORY connector DIRECTLY into ballast
5. Plug HID bulb into connection running FROM the ballast
6. Test fire the light
If it doesn't fire, change the wires running FROM the ballast TO the HID bulb around. Pull the wires from the connection running FROM the ballast, re-insert them opposite of how you removed them.
Re-connect to bulb and BAM enjoy your HID fogs!
(the above directions are for FOGS, LOW beams, and HIGH beams. all HIDS work the same way.)
Cliffs notes:
Factory wiring plugs into ballast
Wiring FROM ballast plugs into bulb
If it doesn't work, switch the wiring FROM ballast TO bulb from one side of connector to the other

This is subjective. I consider having to buy, use and store ramps, lay on my back and work upside down with limited visibility far more of a hassle than removing the headlamps and having full and easyaccess to the fogs, corners, etc. Anyone who has actually pulled the headlamps knows this to be true. Takes about 15 minutes to pull and replace both sides.

When I did my low beams I did it by removing the headlight unit, a week later I installed my Highs and did it from underneath and that was a lot better and faster, More room to mount everything. Takes maybe 10 mins to jack up the car and remove the access pannels. Very simple.
jmo.
