I've wondered if anyone sells a graphite front spoiler like on the C6.R. Be nice for track days. Mid-American does not.
those are not graphite but carbon fiber.
a 2" front splitter needs a 1" rear spoiler point up at 45*
a 4" front spilter needs a 72" rear wing to counter balance
and an extractor hood.
if one uses a front splitter on the track or at least I did have to spend a lot of time adjusting the cars rake to get the balance right.
Unless your running at a minimum the T1 suspension, that front splitter will push the front of the car down to the bump stops and lift the rear UP. and why you need a functional rear spoiler.
How do I know?

Carbon fibre. Right, that's what I meant.
All the more reason to keep my Z06 stock. The engineers designed the 'bad boy' for the track, out the box.

You got that right.
Most aftermarket front splitter are not very strong. they bend or crack too easy. Have seen several that were just tapped on come off at 140 mph and they guy drove right over his own splitter almost put himself into the dirt and tire walls.
I do admit the look cool as hell, but I would never put one on a street vette now that I have had one for a few years on my track car.
I can put all 200 lbs of me on mine and it will not bend.

2 1/2" of ground clearance - the radiator opening is 5"
You can also guess that if you dont have an an extremely strong suspension ( GM T1 or coil overs) the splitter will bottom out and scrap on everything.
and my suspension the car is UP as high as it will go for greater suspension travel, and I still bottom out

I don't think my splitter will be that low. If it is I will have to do something about. I will find out this week, once the car gets painted!
Thanks for the info
I envisioned that it would be a solid spoiler in front of the factory spoiler. Now that I see it has center openings in front of the factory spoiler, I would say you still need the factory spoiler to direct the airflow up to the radiator as designed. The rest of the spoiler is solid, and would be blocking the side pieces, so the factory side pieces are probably no longer functional.
You only need to keep the middle piece to direct airflow.
