Let there be Light...
I got tired of rooting around in the dark looking for a CD;
Neutral White LED strip from Oznium powered from a switch I embedded in the catch assembly for the lid, fed from the auxilary power port in the center console.

That would be nice when opening it up to retrieve a personal defense firearm while you have a cop standing at your window waiting

No I haven't started the partion yet, I'm trying to decide if I want to incorporate the rear speakers into it and fab a new housing for them aiming em more towards the front...

It's in the bottom pic, the close up one. You can see the tab sticking up in the recess for the since removed (I did the "free lid" Mod some time ago) hold down mechanism for the lid... It's a micro switch from Radio shack, I should have gotten the one with the roller tip on it though, hindsight. I'm using the "Hook" on the lid that keeps it latched down to activate the switch.
Ran the wires behind the inner cover and along the hinge, which turned out pretty good. Then drilled a small hole to run them under the console to the switch and cigar light thingy...
Hey are those pics HUGE to everyone else??????
Tim

Nice job on the new lighting, but man, those are some huge pics.
