Default please help seat question

i had the standard seats in my 99 vert. I just installed sport seats from an 00. Everything works on the passenger side. The problem is the drivers side. the only thing that works right is to move the seat forward, when the switch is pushed backwards the back base goes up,when i push the switch to move the front of the seat down the seat moves backwards and down, when i push the switch to move the base rear down nothing happens, when the switch is pushed to move the base rear up it moves down. The car does not have telescope steering wheel option. what do i do with the blue plug on the seat . pleeeease help me

Sounds like the harnesses are different. You may have to check each wire and customize one end of the plug so that the controls work the way you expect them to. It will be time consuming but probably not too difficult/

If you still have the old seat see if the plug matches the new on,if not use the old plug and do a little reserch on what wire operates what and change the pins.

Leave the blue plug be brother. Its for the telescopic steering wheel (i believe you said you don't have it).

I am new to this forum and still learning the ropes. Just posted a similiar question. A trial test of the new seats gave me all the functions, even the lumbar, which the original seats did not have. I do not have the telescoping wheel, so I am good. I can now proceed with recovering the nicer seats without wondering, "What the heck is that blue plug for?" Thanks again for the tip.

with the guys. It sounds like you have a different connector.

Heres the wiring digram for the memory seats option which shows which wires go from the switches to the control module for each function
