Yeah its a pretty even mix of those that do and do not like them. I preferred to not have them but, I have nothing against them. I decided to take mine off because I preferred the look and noticed if someone gets out of many other types of cars especially trucks will hit above the moulding anyways so... Only reason I am keeping mine are in case I sell the car and whoever wants it wants to have them too

I'm on your side, the side moldings were a must for me when I was searching for a C5. Most people end up giving them away for free so you may want to just wait for someone with mag red to take theirs off. Paint is not cheap unless you do it yourself.

Well I'm still looking for a pair for my Mag Red.... I have talked to people that HATE them. I could never understand why but I have decided I want to put them on SOOOO if you HATE them....LOL and have a pair you were going to dump in the trash I'm STILL looking!

I was impartial to them just by looking at pictures. Just got the car painted and decided to eliminate them. Wow what a difference, the car looks so much cleaner/smoother without the BSMs, at least on my pewter car

I have a set in quick silver I removed from my 03 Z. if anyone wants/needs them and wants to pay shipping let me know. I'd be glad to help someone out.

That is why I'm keeping my C5.

I hate the hidden head lights too, I never use them...and I have custom ACA HID's. I use my HID. fogs.
The BSM's were an after thought, makes the side so cluttered. I haven't seen a Porsche, Lambo, Fcar etc. with them, why?
Removing them was the second mod I did two weeks after I got her!
Yada, yada, yada...some like em, some some don't,
but some like mud flaps too!
