I am in the middle of replacing (if required) my window regulator and noticed that the cable closest to the mirror is not on the cute pink pulley, but is off to the side of the pulley between the door and pulley.
Could this be what is causing the window to bind when going back up?
Any help is much appreciated.
that is a common symptom when the window regulators fail (I found this thread because I was searching CF for a recommendation on where to find a cheap one). With hassle, you can get the cable back on the pulley, however it will shortly fail soon thereafter, you really need to replace the unit. If you are unsure, the unit consists of the slides on both sides, and the regulator motor in the center.
I will let you know if I find a deal, I know the dealer I went to today wanted $470, which is unheard of.
