Floppy sideview mirror problem
Both of my sideview mirrors on my 97 coupe are just kind of hanging there now. Appears the spring that used to allow them to fold in have given out. Does anyone know how to replace the springs or have a suggestion on how to go about fixing the problem?

search the DIY thread. There is a fix for it and a kit to do it. i think it's like $100/side but i can't be certain. In the page below it appears you can do it with parts from a hardware store

Had the same thing happen to my vette...97-98 vettes have this... C5 mirror repair by (Ed Swaneck) in OH...Guaranteed never to break again...and a one day turn around after receipt of mirror...Ed fixed my in march of this year...Give Ed a call 330 727 3188...Fixed mine perfect...Hope this helps...todd
