Not many women do the wave. Most C6 owners don't have a clue. C5 wave alot. C4 and below wave almost alll of the time, even going out of their way to get the wave in. I wave to ALL corvettes no matter what car I am in. Get funny looks from vette drivers when I am in my patrol car and wave.

I too agree, women don't ever wave back. just like my wife, she said it's only transportation. Women don't get it. It's a dream machine. Not just any car. A Vette. The greatest sports car in the world. Men know what its all about. I tell my wife, okay no sex. I'll just take the Corvette for ride. Driving it, is like having great sex. Well at least when you get in your 50's. LOL

I always wave but I do get more return waves in my C3 then my C5. I think the C3 is just more noticeable on the road. It loud and it always looks like its doing a burnout even when its not so it tends to draw attention
The C5 just kind of blends in in traffic unless the other guy is looking for Vette's like I do...

as "something" else-instant stalker.
for the 20% of guys:
some don't see their fellow "corvetter" in time or are distracted
some are the vette's 2nd or 3rd owner and are unaware of the tradition
may have briefly mistaken you for a viper or trans am(guilty)
the vette is stolen and they are too busy checking the rear view mirror
or they are too cool even for the vette set!

Not an unusual number there. Some people get into the wave tradition, some don't. I do my part and just don't worry about the rest.
