In north of Dallas Texas nearly all wave, I haven't worried about the few who don't, some folks take themselves to seriously.
I think it is cool that 'vette owners waive.
Like others have written in the forum, I forget when i am driving my truck and wave at vette folks all the time.
i get angry at people that just look at you and dont wave back... we should all petition to get GM to put in the owners manual that it is mandatory to wave at other corvette owners.
i ALWAYS wave... since the male to female ratio of corvette drivers around here is 95% male to 5% female i cant really say percentage by sex.... but id say that overall 80% of other vette drivers dont wave back. makes me nuts
So today I washed and Waxed the '04 to get ready for the drive to Bowling Green tomorrow then took it for a spin over to Taco bell for diner. On the way I passed a White C5 and got a wave, Orange C6 - got a wave, Spiral Grey C5 - Wave, Blue C6 - Wave, Black guy that looked exactly like snoop dog in a white C6 Vert - Wave. It was a pretty good day
I was out driving earlier today when I saw in my side mirror, a gorgeous, what appeared to be totally restored red 1967 coupe, black stinger, with sidepipes, slowly catching up to me. As it pulled beside me, was all ready for a big wave and "NICE VETTE!!!" The guy pulls up beside me, stares straight ahead as he slowly goes by - doesn't even pretemd to look or acknowledge me. Class status? As a consolation, did get waves from both passengers in a C6 coupe later.
I live on the coast in Eastern NC, and the wave is usually returned when I am in my Vette.
Not so much driving my truck I have only gotten one out of about 10 returned.
Whether people are enthusiasts or not, and regardless of what you are driving, if you look directly at someone and wave, I mean DAMN. How about a little friendly common human courtesy, just wave back ya stuck up b@stards.
