Well a few weeks ago I started making my 04 Z engine covers smooth. Started out by sanding them down. That means sanding the parts that say 5.7 completely off. Then laying a thick layer of tiger hair fiberglass. Sanding. Then body filler and more tiger hair, more sanding. Then primer, more filler more sanding. Then finally its close to done. I only put 2 light coats of high temp paint on because I want to have them airbrushed. But here it is...
i was gonna do this but it's more work then it's worth for me. I'd rather pay somebody to do it in this case congrats, you have more patience then i do
thanks fella's. Yes it was alot of work but now I can point at them and say " you see those plain old engine covers? 15 Hrs of work there" lol cus it looks so plain until you compare them to the stock ones and see what actually goes into making them smooth.
