Well, I purchased the C6 Z06 Black Deep Dish Motorsport R Wheels in stock Z06 sizes. Which I knew they weren't going to fit my Baer Rotor's b/c there was a thread on this. The forum member shaved his caliper's, I was wondering if spacer's would be easier. Here's some pictures of the problem Im having. Let me know if you can help me out. Thanks!!!
Do you have enough room to put a spacer on the car without the wheel contacting the fender or sticking out too far? Are you comfortable running on spacers? Are you comfortable removing material from the piece of your car that stops you from slamming into the car in front of you? These are the questions you need to ask yourself. lol
Use H/D flat washers that slide over your lug bolts. Keep adding spacers untill you have a decent amount of space between wheel and caliper. Of course front and rears may vary. Once you have the proper clearance, you will know by the thickness of washers, what your dealing with. You can now determine what size spacers that you can have made up (aluminum), CCW out of Fla? Cal?, makes these up all the time. You may want to shave the calipers to the amount of the thickness of the washers, insted of spacers. And lastly you can take the big brake system off, and eliminate the problem all together. Good luck w/ your delima.
I do have room t put a spacer in I dont know how much room I have but 1/2" would probably be to much. The tires I got are alittle thinner them the stock Z06 Goodyear's. So, if I put spacers in then it would reach the same as the stock Goodyear's. About shaving the caliper, I didnt like that idea.

I like the idea by using the HD flat washers. When the forum member shaved his calipers he even did the back, if you look at the photo on the right side in the back it's touching as well. Will the spacers help that? I rather use spacers then shave the caliper.

I'm not a wheel expert, but I disagree with the washer idea. Premade spacers provide a flat surface that the wheel can sit on. Washers will be the only points of contact. Obviously there are huge forces going through the wheel to the hub and suspension.
I recommend spacers from one of the vendors or other aftermarket company. It looks like you might also have a radial clearance problem. If that is the case you might have to do a little trimming of the calipers to solve that. No one will be able to see that anyway since it's so tight between the caliper and inside of the wheel.
He's only talking about using washers to measure the distance. Not as a permanent solution. Once the distance is known with washers. Then the right size spacer can be bought.
I run a 1/8 spacer in the rear for track due to tire size. You could go 1/4. I wouldn't recommend 1/2. Not with factory studs. They are too short. You won't get enough thread engagement on the lugs.
Pfadt is selling spacers and they look nice. Well made.

On traditional axles spacers are discouraged because it caused extra bearing loading. Would this possibly be a factor with IRS bearings ? I was told "absolutely" no spacers on my C4...
bumble-z... Im going what you said and Im changing the Rotors.
Does anyone know if there is Rear Baer Rotor's out there in stock sizes with the same look as the Era. Rotors I have?
The reason Im going to change the rotors is b/c by using spacer's will not work b/c the caliper will have to be shaved on the right side, Im sure everyone understands.
I had this same problem with these Wheels and the BAER Eradi Speed +1 Rear Brake Setup. You have to SHAVE the Calipers on the Front Face and the TOP! Read Page Two of My post Here!
