Well I did it....
I'm the proud owner of a 2003 Silver Corvette Convertible....
Lots-o-miles (102k) but cheap enough to pay cash (paid under low NADA). Have 7 days to return it and have a date with a mechanic to go over the whole car.
On the lot:
From the ad (it was dark when I got home):
So far I think it needs an alignment...pulls to the right....otherwise engine seems strong and transmission (automatic) seems fine.
Needs some interior cleaning...but what used car doesn't?
Did miss my one major requirement...it's supposed to be blue!

Thanks! Everyone. I'm pretty pleased.
Still having to look in the driveway to make sure it is there.
According to the mileage indicator on it's getting better gas mileage then my 6 cyl Nissan Murano.

Boo Hoo she's off to the mechanic...don't even get to go have fun yet.
Listened a little closer this morning might have a bit of a lifter tick...will know more in a couple of hours.

If it clatters and goes away after the engine warms up - that is normal for many C5s.
Congrats on a nice looking car!

Sweet! Now you are part of the elite, we are the "chosen ones" that the gods have allowed to own Vettes.
BTW - anything you need to know about her can be answered on this forum. There is nothing that hasn't been seen, tinkered with, modified, troubleshot, enhanced, or re-engineered! That's the other perk of owning a C5 Vette.
Enjoy her....

Congrats! I'm sure with a 102K miles, you're going to need a few minor tweaks from a mechanic. However, the engine bay looks very clean. It appears to have been very well maintained!
