A good way to change this harmful thinking is to place the two cars next to each other. It will be obvious then. Don't worry though, you're just having a brain fart.
Yep - you are certifiably insane. However there is something to be said for certain types of mental disorders - most "crazy" people seem happy. The rest of us pay shrinks to dispense meds to make us feel normal and miserable. This is a seasoned voice of experience.
For me - a few minutes on the road w/my Z and red lining it a couple of times lets me skip my meds for a while!

Completely insane!!!!! I've had over 13 vettes and every so often I look at the P O S german cars. Just remember high costs, high repair bills, long wait time for parts and please just take a moment step back and look "all" 911's look like a big *****. Since my son first pointed this out to me I have never looked at them the same
I've owned a 911 many years ago. I have no desire to ever own one again, especially after owning a Z06. The handling doesn't even come close to comparing. Maintenance costs are a fortune. Cops love to pull them over. These are are just a couple of reasons I don't miss it. It's your call, though. Good luck in whatever you decide.
BTW, they break down as easily as any other car. A friend of mine had one bought back under the lemon law.

I cant say for the 911, but 3 of the best cars I've owned have been a BMW 525i, 745Li and an old 72 Beetle. I have had 72 cars in my lifetime now and can make a pretty good comparison between them.
To the OP, I personally wouldnt do what youre suggesting, but hey, if you feel the need for something different, do what ya gotta do.
that's a move you'll regret...unless you've lusted after a 5 year old used porsche (assuming the manufacturing took place sometime in 2004), in which case you ought to have your head examined. go drive one first. and in your spare time check out the warranty options while you're at it on a used '05 p-car...
Have you had any serious head injuries lately?
I say get the Porsche because if you are thinking about the trade you can not appreciate the Z06 or drive it like it can be driven, so you won't know the difference.
Porsches are nice for sure, but I don't much care for the styling. Unless you feel that you absolutely must have that Porsche (in which case you wouldn't have posted the question), I'd pass...
Purchased new in 1986 a Porsche Turbo and it was without a doubt an outstanding machine. Fit and quality of construction was that of a fine watch. Meticulous detail to fit and finish. Engine was awesome and powerful. Amazing what the Germans can pull from those engines.
I now own a 04 Z06 and love the car. It is a keeper that my son's will sort out after I am gone. Porsche is refined and sophisticated. Corvette is raw power and rough, All American! I would not go back to the Porsche.
$25K and your 2004 z06. That seems a bit much, no?
It all depends what you want? If you want to show off and pick-up girls, you've got a good chance with the Porsche. If you want to be fast at the track stay, with the Z06.
