Default How many flat tires

With some people worrying so much about getting a flat without runcraps.
How many flat tires have you had in your lifetime in any corvette.
I have had only 2.

Just 1 in 130k miles running Nittos. A 1/2-13 x 4" bolt picked up on the hwy. Held air until I got home.

I got two nails in the same tire within a month, but have not had another flat in over 5 years. Both were repairable, and both did not go flat. I found them in the garage before they went completely flat.

One was a double headed nail like they use to frame concrete forms that went in head first, and I still made it home. I started to pull out what looked like a metal pin, but it would not come out. Once we had the tire off the wheel, we found that it would not pull out because the head was inside.

I've had 3 flats with my 1998 C5 (120,000 miles). I use Goodyear OEM runflats.

I had one on my '99, and two on my '00. Runflats sure came in handy those times.

I've had a mix:

A nail through the tire. It caught the sidewall and the tire was toast. Luckily it was downtown Vegas.
A broken valve stem which was my own fault. I topped off the air and broke the stem pulling the air hose off. It left me about 5 miles from home so I needed the runflat to get me home.
I now have a leaky air valve. I need to replace the TPS I suspect its the O Ring. It's not likely to strand me but its just a PITA having to top it off every now and then.

None on any of my Corvettes up until 1986

C4 (non-RFs)
Over 70 nails total in all 4 tires in one day - box of nails apparently fell off a truck on the highway - I just thought I hit water - never lost any air - saw all the nails 2 days later! None of the tires repairable. All replaced by insurance less deductible.

2001 C5
1st set of GYRFs - no flats
2nd set of GYRFs - 3 nails one tire at different times 2 nails in another tire at different times - all repairable.
3rd set Michelin A/S ZPs - 2 flats on different tires at different times - both, metal objects in side walls - not rpairable - replaced by Michelin for free under 2-year replacement warranty.

2 flats and 1 blow out (broken bead at + high way speed, install screw up) with run flats and handled great.

Had 2 at the same time when I must have hit something at night on the highway. Not fun. Then I had another on the highway when a new Michelin decided to blow out on me. Thank God for AAA!

I've had plenty. I lost count, but I have a special souvenir drawer in my nail/screw case for things I've pulled out of tires. Though all my cars have an air compressor and plug kit in the trunk, and I've never had a flat I couldn't fix myself.
