Default Are headers worth it????

Are headers worth getting??? I was looking at kooks long tube headers and a catless x pipe for 1200 to go on my 99 FRC. The question is are headers really worth it?? Or can i get most the gains with just the cattless x pipe? I can get that for about 250 dollars. Thats a big difference in price for just adding headers. Whats your input????

If you plan to do more modding down the road such as CAI, heads, cam, intake etc... then yes. Don't forget they sound cool as well.

Yes I do plan on doing heads and cam down the road. Looking for cheaper HP right now. Have intake and exhaust, but stock H pipe and exhaust manafold.

Yes, but I'd stay w/ a 1 3/4" header tubes. The 1 7/8" are an even tighter fit. I suggest getting the headers, with matching x pipe , hi flo cats or by pass pipes all at the same time. You could keep your present cat back system, and deside later which one you want to go with. Good luck.

Save your money and do heads/cam first. Thats where you are going to get the best bang for your buck. Headers add great sound, but you won't get much gains unless you tune, and the gains still might not be that noticeable.

Headers, HF cats and x-pipe are the best bang for the buck.

yep, love my LG pro LT's. After the install and tune, along with my Ti's, the car really woke up. You can hear them breathing!

IMO, headers are well worth the money, especially since you plan to mod it even more.

Do NOT go out and buy an xpipe if you'll be getting headers. It's not worth it. I bought mine thinking my xpipe would match up to LG Pro's and they apparently don't. I'll have to sell my current x-pipe and buy theirs.
