Anyone have any ideals how to refasten bottom end of front emblem, it is lifting and I dont know what to bond it with as the emblem at that point is very narrow? Am thinking about just replacing it but any suggestions appreciated...and saves me $70- (tried silicone..no go)

My suggestion would be to remove it and replace the 3M double sided tape. There are two pins on the front emblem to keep it in place so go easy.
I think, if I'm not wrong, a '"Automotive grade" made of two-face tape which is more weather resitant. Just scrape it clean, wipe it off with a little brake cleaner and let dry and put on the two face tape and use an x-acto knife to cut away the excess and reinstall. Good luck. Nice simple job.
As the others here have suggested you should remove the emblem, remove the adhesive from the emblem, apply new 3M double sided tape and reinstall. Here a pic of the correct 3M tape to use. You can buy a whole roll or just a few pieces on ebay.
Yeah your right, WD-40 and soap and water would be much safer. The brake cleaner might cause the thin plastic of the emblem to crack or melt. Your right, much better choice.

Thanks guys I will try the two sided tape...It just happens I ordered a blackout kit and it comes with two sided tape some of which I hope can be salvaged for such a small project...Greetings Rob
This happened to mine, but no amount of 3m or other automotive tape would hold it. It was warped either form the sun or too many encounters with a towel dry.
My solution was a high polish c5 emblem from e-bay, though I don't see any listed today.

This is interesting because the 3m tape is the same stuff GM uses. I am thinking maybe you didn't properly clean the surface of your paint for it to stick correctly.
Easy to to; Remove the emblem with waxed dental floss and 3M adhesive remover to clean car surface ( soak a shop rag and apply).
Clean the emblem of old adhesive Use 3M acrylic foam Plus double sided tape .015 thick ( not .03 or .045 as it will show). Apply the 3M Tape and trim to fit .
Now prep the car's painted surface . ( I used a light pencil to outline the emblem in place) Apply 3M Adhesion Promoter #06396 ( one packet runs about $2 from auto paint paint store) to the outlined area. Heat the two surfaces to 90 degrees and then . I apply pressure for a few minutes.
