The post is on Tech Tips but I cant access it any more
It involves lubricating the joint on the steering column. To get at it you need to pull the 4 screws on the drivers kick panel

Melting Slicks
I couldn't agree more! I too have seen the picture and post many times, and I too have the squeaky steering wheel issue. I went so far as to purchase the spray can of white lithium grease, I just need a better idea of where, and how it should be applied!!!
So, what do you say forum members, does anyone out there have better instructions on how to get this job done?

Same problem on a 97, so you can rule out active handling sensor.
It sounds like plastic on plastic and it sounds like it's in the actually steering wheel, not down near the floor pan (tried greasing like picture but no dice).
