Default Visor clip part number?

Anyone know the part number to the clip that holds the sun visors in place?

Got to work this morning, put my solar shade up and went to flip down the visors to hold it in place. The passenger's clip on the left side of the visor that holds it to the windshield frame just snapped off. It was brittle.

Joy.

Plus I notice the spring retainer on the right side appears to be pulling out too.

This is gonna be one of those days, isn't it?

Not sure what you mean by "clip". Are you referring to the "pin" that sticks out and has a small **** on the end? If you're talking about parts on the VISOR (sunshade) itself, then you're going to have to replace the entire visor. Cheapest I've found was on the E-auction site.

I think OP is talking about the part the visor clips to on the headliner.

Yes. The visor itself is ok. Just the clip that mounts to the headliner broke.

Substitute the 2 with a 3 in the part # and you have the passengers side part #. The price from my local GM dealer is $4.79.

Just an FYI. Parts manager said there is a new part# if old stock is out of stock. Price $16.00. I told him if mine was out of stock, not to order with new part #. One of the vendors sells them for like $7.

just a word of caution here when you go to replace it....when I replaced mine I found that in addition to the screw holding it in place there was some sort of adhesive bonding it to the headliner. I tore my vinyl slightly but patched it with superglue.

From what I gather, he's talking about the clip that is fastened onto the headliner/windshield frame with one (1) screw. If that's the case, there is no R or L, it's a 10411051. Three (3) in stock at Fichtner Chev @ $1.56 ea. Chev and less than $1.00 shipping. 1-800-234-5284.

Hey, no harm trying to help. Sometimes the OP description(s) are a little lacking.

Whaaaa? That black dohicky on the right side that holds the flappy thing isn't descriptive enough?

Sometimes its just hard to use the right terminology to describe it.

Yes, the part that screws in to the headliner with one screw is that part I need. Wish there was a microfiche somewhere to confirm it

Texas Dave, he was being nice to me. I messed up and I apologize for that. I was trying to help and I made a mistake. Today must be one of my slow days. After reading it your description is spot on. If I am ever in Texas, I will buy you a beer. Sorry!!

With me, in the absence of a picture, it's a case of reading someone's description literally, since I was once in the parts business many years ago and getting the right part for a customer was sometimes a chore.
It's all good though.

That's ok. And to think I almost ordered those parts from gmpartshouse but kept looking at the description thinking... that doesn't sound right.... So I went to lunch and came back, and tada.

I have had a broken clip on mine for like two years now. I just called Fichtner and got two ordered. I have been looking everywhere for these and had only been able to find the black, but need the shale.
