I leave mine on "Service Vehicle Soon" and "Service Traction System"
Otherwise I leave it blank.

get in car, hit reset to get of the service tire monitor system. After that I tend to change every few weeks. I like the mpg stuff and also the tranny temp.

At startup, I check battery volts, tire pressure and then watch oil temp until it's 150+. Then I watch oil pressure and switch between fuel mileage, range, and oil psi while driving.
I will also often pull codes to see if any are showing.

MPG Average usually. I wish there was a way to set it to automatically cycle between all the readings.

I used to watch my MPG all the time. Now, it makes me sad to look.... My car drinks gas so fast now!

Instant MPG usually. When I'm get under 1/8th tank I switch to range. Usually flip through all however on a drive!

AVG MPG on the DIC and temperature on the HUD.
I reset all the MPG related options after every refill.

Front tire pressure. Once or twice during a drive I'll usually hit once to check rear, then 5 or 6 hits back to front.
Had enough nails in other vehicle tires to keep an eye out.
Also, when filling up, I set the pump on auto and walk-around glancing at the tires for anything stuck in them.
Paranoid? Maybe, but I can say thus far, I've always caught an object in the tire before it was too late.
