Shown on top is the newly released C6 Rear Tow Hook and below is the C5 Front Tow Hook. Front tow hooks require a little drilling, but we provide the installation hardware and Rear tow hooks install using the exhaust bolts (which makes it really easy).

Other wise you quickly learn to go WAY around or you bang your shin quite a bit.
The other thing about folding hooks, is that if you have Car to Car contact you wont spear the other car.

Then, where it protrudes through the front fascia, you can either bend plastic grill trim around the screen so the tow hook comes out between the painted fascia and the grill screen, or cut the screen like I did:

If you don't use the muffler hanger in the rear, then mounting the rear tow hook is as simple as using the exisiting studs from the muffler hanger. If you do, then the existing studs probably aren't long enough. In that case, the rear fascia has to be removed so you can put in longer studs. To get the exhaust tips level on both sides, you might want to put in longer studs on the other side too and use washers to put the hanger at the same level as the side with the tow hook. Here's mine:

You can put the tow hooks on the front and rear on the driver's or passenger's side.
I've seen both the Phoenix folding and Pfadt hooks. The Phoenix folding hooks are a lot thicker and weigh more. I'm not sure if the added thickness is necessary or not. Since the Pfadt hooks are thinner, putting in longer studs in the back may not be necessary. I'm not sure. That would make the install of the rear one a lot less time consuming if you didn't have to remove the rear fascia.
