The Corvette Wave

When my dad bought his 85 Vette all those many years ago, he told me about the "Corvette Wave". I thought he was kidding about it. But he pretty much told me, "No. That's what you do when you see another Vette on the streets." LOL
Well, I got my car Monday and have in fact been doing the Corvette Wave pretty much every time I saw another Vette drive by. I don't think I got one wave back. Then yesterday while I was driving it was like all the REAL Vette owners were out. I swear every Vette that passed by was doing the Corvette Wave. Made me feel even better about driving the car.
Another cool thing I noticed, I was waiting to turn left onto a street, and coming the opposite direction, a blue C6 turned right onto the street I was turning left. I was hoping I'd get to turn sooner so I could catch up really quick to him. Then I realized he slowed way down. I think he was waiting for me to turn... When I finally turned, I caught up to him really quick and gave him the Corvette Wave. So he sped up and cruised next to me for a while. It was pretty cool.
Finally, my friend was in the car with me while we were driving to a BBQ yesterday, and every time a Vette passed, I did the wave without breaking concentration on our conversation, and he was wondering what I kept doing and why. LOL I didn't tell him.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

True story ... one time we were having a tree cut down in our front yard. The guy doing it was near the top, chainsaw in one hand, waving at passers-by with the other. WTH? He doesn't KNOW these people and surely they didn't see him waving up in the tree, but he waved nonetheless. Old habits die hard, I guess!
I'm enjoying waving at all the pretty 'vettes that I see on the road.

This happens to me too.
