I didn't know about the wave until I got on this forum...luckily I lurched around here for a while before I got my vette so I was ready to wave once I got it.

I wave at all Vettes and others too, if the car looks nice......Have gotten some ambitious return waves and grins from some of those "other" brands.....
I always wave with the possible exception of Woodward Ave. This time of the year during evening cruises there can be so many beautiful Corvettes that you can strain your wrist waving!
I'll nod or smile at other special cars, but the Corvette Wave is Special!
And the wave is about the only free accessory that comes with owning a Vette!
My favorite wave is the straight up one when the top is off!
I've gotten a few of those, also my fav.
The waves I didn't expect are from people in yellow cars and trucks. The first couple times were from girls so I just thought I was looking extra sexy but as time went by I noticed all sorts of people in yellow vehicles waving at me so there must be some yellow coalition around here or something. And yes, my Vette is yellow.
Well this is a treat. Two pages of positive wave-chat. Figured the 'beating the dead horse" gang would be out in full force by now. I always wave but it's a total hit or miss in this part of Kalifornia as to whether folks wave. Still remember my first return wave. Had my 'vette for a couple weeks before somebody finally waved back.
Right now with the temps between 100-106, I'm rolling with my windows up and A/C blowing! So I'm waving from inside the cab. I'm sure they see me for the most part... I'm white as paper with black interior!

I use to own a decker (Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic) and loved that bike. Everyone on a bike waves at you, Hondas, Susuki, if your on two wheels, you name it they wave. I dumped the harley and got a vett, I kinda missed the bike, but I'm still waving.
My wife asked to take the Vette to run a few errands while I was at work last weekend since her SUV is in the shop. When I got home from work I asked how things went and she tells me, "Fine! But I wasn't aware of how popular you were." Considering her errands were outside my normal stomping grounds, I was confused. She said she kept getting waved at and figured they were people I knew who recognized the car. Since my wife rarely rides with me and has never encountered "the wave", it caught her off guard. After explaining she said she felt bad and wanted to go back out and find a Vette to wave to. I love my wife
