I converted my C5 auto shift **** to a C6 trigger type..works great....but it took some work ..complete C6 auto shfter assy was about $150 on auction buy it now site. Cannot use it directly ..you have to switch the major parts from the C6 to the C5 shifter. I can email photo of finished shifter if anuy one needs them or just go to a Vette show/auction site and look at one.

I have one of these in the carbon fiber. It does get hot if exosed to direct sun as it sometimes is with a vert. However I usually put the top up when I park and it has not been a problem for me.

I have a metal one and I know what you mean. Sometimes when it's hot out I have to bring a towel or something to throw over it just so I can use it.
