Default Ls6 complete head, on clearance?

part number 12564824 on gmpartsdirect.com comes up 400 something, with a list price of 640. Every other website including genes has them listed well over 800, what gives?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the early LS6 heads didn't have the lighweight hollow/sodium filled valves. That could account for the difference in price.

Ding ding....we have a winner.

I'd say that's the reason for the discount.

243's are the better head correct?
