So do all of the available logo exhaust plates just mount with double face tape? Seems maybe underneath thats not the best mounting method with water, heat, etc.
Any thoughts? Just don't want to spend $45 for one only to have it fall off one day and I will never know it until I am long down the highway.
shouldn't be a problem if you prep the area properly. i had one on for well over 2 years without a problem (yes i live in south florida and we have loads of rain and heat here also, lol), i had to remove it when i changed my exhaust system and the available space changed. i found another that i could make work after the exhaust change out and that's been in place (with double sided tape) for well over a year. if you are uncomfortable with the couple of strips that come with the plate you buy, go to your local NAPA or other auto parts store and get some 3m trim double sided tape and add a couple more pieces in appropriate spots.
With a properly cleaned area, the double sided tape will stick (the tape they provide with most of these plates is not your standard double sided tape - it is much stronger). I've had mine on the car for over 6 years now and it won't even think about coming off. You should be more concerned about making sure it is straight and in the right place before you stick it on because you are going to have a very hard time removing it.

I'll second making sure it's straight. Once this stuff makes contact on a properly cleaned and prepped surface, it's not going anywhere!

Mine mounted with double sided tape and was still solid as a rock after 6 years on the car. Just clean the mounting area up very well and it will last for a long, long time.
