I chose to buy an '01, there were less of them built... Anyone who tells you the '02 thru '04 Z's are "built better" is mis-informed. '01 thru '04 Z06's are absolutly awesome cars, the '01 Z Logo is way cooler ... Seriously, my '01 with American Racing LT headers, VARAram intake, a tune and a few other go fast goodies, plenty of power EVERYWHERE... Love my Z06!

My '01 is in the garage sitting, getting zero exposure, not being in rush hour traffic with double the miles.

Those few tweaks aside from the normal '02+ stuff is just a set of shocks. Whoop-dee-doo
yea.. with these cars miles dont scare me... i put 200,000+ miles on my C4.. so 40,000 miles is not that significant.. especially with the newer stuff.. newer car with more miles usually just means it had a longer commute to work.. or did lots of road trips.. either way.. id rather have the improvements made over the years.. shocks, spring rates, throttle body, valvetrain, torque tube, transmission forks, etc..etc..etc..

but thats just me.. WMMV..
