Wouldn't that effect the car somehow? I thought the car had to have staggered sizes?

I may change the front tire size to a 275/30/19, but I haven't decided yet.
NICE
Nah, stick with the original idea...265/19 for the front. Looks better

I've done some homework and I notice a lot of folk run 19" on all four corners. I really like that setup
I also noticed that Nitto makes a perfect match for that size:
INVO's
305/30/19 rears
275/30/19 front
anyone?

it is the O.D. not the rim size.

My street wheels are 18x10 with 18x275/35 and 18x12 with 18x335/30

my race wheels are 18x12 with 18x305/30 and 18x13 with 18x335/30

18" tires are much easier to find and mount. many shops wont mount 19" custom rims for fear of damage.

Plus 18" tires are less then 19" tires ka Ching

315 is about the largest you can go with stock fender and it sits about flush. Ive had 305, 315, and 335. The 335 will work but it will stick out and I personally didnt like the look.

tub ? no but should have. It rubbed the inner liner out.

I run a 3/8" spacer and have 3/4" flared fenders now

dcd,

I have CCW SP20A. 19x10 front and 19x11 rear. Currently have Michelin Pilots on them. 275/30-19 and 295/35-19. Too much stagger. I don't like it.

Looking at the Invos also. I think I will do 285/30-19 and 325/30-19. They will stick out a bit in the front and rear. To be tucked in 275 in front and 305 or 315 rear.

I run CCW Classics 18x12 rear with 335 Hoosiers on them for track. They stick out. I did not remove my rear brake ducts to clear these wheels. I did pin my inner fenders so that I wouldn't tear them up. I use a 1/8" spacer behind those wheels. I use 18x10.5 Z06 rears in front with 315 Hoosiers. They stick out too. And rub at full lock.

You might get away with the 325s in the rear with no mods. Try it. If it just rubs then a 1/8" spacer should get you clear.

Graham

Here is the car with the SP20As and Michelins on it.

Graham,
First, beautiful car!
Second, I agree with you that the sizes you now have on the car I wouldn't like it either. Thats the whole thing though, If you go with the Invos and get the 325 for the back you need to get a 285 for the front, and I don't think I would like that look either. So I'm looking at the 305 combo 275. Invo's 315 only comes in a 25 series, so that's out.
I'm wondering though, because you mentioned "1/8" spacer" and I never thought of that that possibly with the 325/265 setup would look?
Third, and this is a big one, seeing your car with the "20a" has got me thinking
Thanks
Don

OK. been researching some more. I forgot to mention I am installing an ECS's blower (600) and it's possible that with the setup I am looking for will not accommodate my extra ponies so well. So I am going to go with all 18"
on the corners. This way I can still put INVO's on, sizes 295/35 and 265/35. I am told that you really don't want to shorten the sidewall. I am really getting confused now so anyone feel free to help. I will have somewhere around 540-45 on the rear when said and done (so I'm told). What setup would be the best for optimum handling and traction?
Looks are cool, but I want to be safe too!
Don

Another thing to consider. If I want I could buy the fender flares (L5)and go with the larger 12"rim to be able to put on the 345 size tire. Man, you could go crazy here. I priced that setup. Flares, rims, tires would go for about 5k which really is not that bad

I don't like theL5's or any other bubble fenders as they look like an after thought.

If you want big tires do a mini-tub with coil overs. Throw on a set of the CCW Classics and you'll be set.

I wish that was the route that I went instead of the widebody kit that I did, but there is no going back now.

Here's what the rear wide body looks like. Things get even more complicated when you have big brake kit.

Yes, I followed your "kit" as you were posting. I think your car came out awesome. But there are always things we wish we had done instead.
My car too was re-done. I did custom side skirts. stripes, hood (MCM) added an ACI splitter. I also put the stripes under the clear coat. As you, now I wish I hadn't. Just in case I ever wanted to remove them. Be a pain in the butt to do that now.
It was just a thought about the flares. Don't think I will go that route. As I mentioned I'm getting a blower installed and expecting to make mid 500's on the back. I want more meat on the ground. I've been talking with someone who recommend the 18" set up all around so I don't mess up T/C or experience any handling issues.
Only thing with that is that INVO does not come in a 315/30/18 size. So I would need to look at different tires

There are always things we wish we did or did not do, lots of regrets. The car is up on the lift in pieces at the moment. Stripped of the body and drive train and most of the suspension.

I've got a lot of work ahead of me so that I can get this project done.

Take a look at the Toyo R888 or RA-1's also Kuhmo's

I may change the front tire size to a 275/30/19, but I haven't decided yet.
325/30/19 will rub on the inner fender and brakes ducts unless you go with less BS. Then they will fit but will stick out. 305 is perfect fit maybe a 315 depending on the tire brand.

Compare section widths before making a final decision.

I run 19/19 305/30s and 275/30s
