Just show her the Corvette race cars or the guys that race them. She'll understand. As a woman MY owner, I was concerned that it was way too macho. I mean, you've gotta have a lotta confidence streaking around in a yellow car at 100mph+ knowing that everyone can see you! I was so concerned that I ordered red seats instead of black, didn't want it to look like a man's car.
MY was my first color choice, but after two C5's (present one is black which is way cool too)I have yet to attain that awesome color!!!!! If it means anything, (I'm sure not) what originally turned me on to yellow was a 260Z I owned that was almost the exact same color as MY. I put a F/I Jag V12 in it and had a blast with the car!!!!! I had never thought much of yellow until I owned that Z. It was so good looking and so much fun that it gave me a whole different attitude about yellow!!!!

OK, so here is the bottom line. It is a polarizing color. You either love it or hate it. I parked mine on a busy street and another convertible drove buy with a guy and his wife. She said "Oh my god what an ugly color. He said "Are you kidding? I love it!"
You Will get noticed with MY (including the police). One guy came up to me after I parked my car and said "showoff". I said "I bet you wish you had something to show off too!" So if you want to go stealth this is not your color!

I wasn't looking for a particular color, just a good low cost A4 coupe. This is what I found.
I now think it's the best color.
