Tires
Many of us here have switched to non-runflat tires for a much-better ride. The OEM runflats have sidewalls as stiff as concrete and each tire weighs 6 lbs more than an equivalent-sized non-runflat. That's unsprung weight and rotational mass.
Aftermarket runflats tend to ride better than the OEM Goodyears, but they are still heavy and are a bit compromised, handlingwise.
Now, a good set of non-runflats can last just as long as the runflats, if not longer. The best wearing, yet super-grippy tires may be the Goodyear GSD3s. That is what I run and I can say without a doubt that they are nothing short of phenomenal.
