German Projector Lights Status Update
Some of you may or may not remember the posts, but earlier this year we were in talks with some Germans who designed lights for the C5 which opened 50mm less (almost 2 inches).
We're still working on it. Things are coming slow, but we want this just right. We have decided to keep the 50 mm less opening to bring something different to the market.
We will be adding our own twists to the project. The way they came just doesn't do it for us.
Our goals with these lights
1. Great light output 2. Affordable 3. Retain the 50mm less opening to be different than what's already out there. 4. Develop a shroud for the lights that actually look good.
Here are the work in progress pics from a few weeks ago. They aren't pretty yet, but they will be when we're done.
Videos for you guys:

I agree Johnathan, they do look good. I like the dual projector lenses and the sleepy look. I was really considering the lights you have for sale now (halogen and projector) but I am going to wait for these!!!
If you guys have any requests let us know. We want to design something most will like. We realize these won't be for everyone.
Lol, tell me about it
They look good. The "sleepy eye" look used to be very popular with the MR2 crowd. When we had our MR2 they used a shorter rod on the lights to keep them from extending all the way out. I like the idea, keep up the good work.
That's interesting. Although I don't like that the car is less aerodynamic when the lights are up, I didn't want to put in stationary lights. 2 inches is a huge improvement. I look forward to the updates.
If you put a clear lens in front of everything to make it totally flush in the front between the light lid and the bottom of the light bucket, it'd be even more aerodynamic and would serve as protection for the projectors themselves.
EDIT:
OK, I wasn't sure if I was being clear so I drew this up in Photoshop really quick. Sorry if it looks funky.
The lens would be contoured to the front of the lens bucket and would be flush up to the top of the light lid. I think that would be new and different from everything else out there. It'd also get rid of the air-damn look too.

I want a clear lense. Not sure how good it would look though.
