Default Window Regulator

Has anyone replace a window regulator in there coupe? Is it something that an average guy can do or are there to many adjustments needed to make it right where I need to have a Shop or Window Service do it?

Mine went out on drivers door and found one at GM Parts Warehouse at a good price.

Thanks

There are numerous posts about replacing window regulators, and how to get the motor unstuck.
You might try tapping on the motor first to see if you can get it to work. I started bumping my window down about 1/16" to keep the motor and drive gears from being jammed up against the stops, and mine have not stuck again.

I have replaced both window regulator assemblies on my 2004 Z06, and it is a job most people with a few tools can do if you take your time.
The hardest part is getting the door panel off without breaking any of the clips out of the mounts.
I would put tape on the outside molding along the top of the door and on the glass, and mark the position of the glass forward/backward and up and down before removing the glass. It makes it much easier to get the glass back in exactly where it was in the opening.

i changed mine using the gm service manual and it was no problem at all. Although mine turned out to be the door control module (or window control module, not sure what its called) but either way it was an easy task.

My passenger side is out. I thought it was my DCM so I bought a new one. It turned out to be the motor.
