I will never understand azzhats like that.
Holly crap my roof has the exact same pattern on it from an egging recently. Wasn't too sure if it was caused by something else, now I know!

based on some quick calculations. if the object was a standard chicken egg at 150 mph, it was carrying ~105 joules of kinetic energy....about the same energy as a .22 rifle bullet.

btw; is the HID bulb okay or will you need a replacement bulb?

Nah I'm going to need a replacement bulb... and wow, I'd say the projector held up VERY well assuming that amount of kinetic energy.

My records show you ordered 6000K bulbs with your kit. It may take a week to get a repalcement bulb.

Thanks for helping out so much when you clearly didn't need to. You are one HELL of a stand-up guy and vendor!

Wow, what a PITA that is. Sorry about the damage. Too bad you can't find out who did that and then beat the heck out of them.

Really crazy considering it looked like you had a cement median in between the oncoming traffic.

I don't know if the ****** that threw the egg was actually Vette hunting, rather just got lucky on a random throw.

I have the same damage on my hood.
To much money for a proper fix right now though!

I learned the hard way... there is no cheap way to fix chunks that big. I also had some decent chips in the hood/roof/trunk from a hail storm that had happened and ended up biting the bullet rather than try to patchwork repairs and match paint in multiple places.

You may not think so, but you are lucky. Some jackwad did this with a brick to my buddy's daughter and it took half her face off. She lived and he was caught and is now in jail. Wrong punishment. I'd warn him the same thing will happen and turn him loose. See if he ever drives without constantly being in fear of the car going the other way.

There is something wrong with how children are being raised these days. It's really too bad.

Hope the repair goes well.

Not sure, however some of us type in the *** to help self-sensor the forum. I guess it's not the word, rather the intent or derogatory intent.

In this case, we all know what kind of person who threw the egg is!
