I would not pass up that 02 so quickly. Have you test driven it? Lots of Speculation going on here....noone knows for SURE if the 02 has been driven hard or not. I have an 01 Head/cam car, my car has never been to the track, not a garage queen but certainly not beaten on.

The 03 you said is a garage queen...so how do you know it was not beat on and just cleaned up very well?? Just because a car is modded does not automatically mean it was beat to hell.

If you like HP, the 02 has 100RWHP more...thats quite a bit of power over stock. Also, who did the work on the 02, was it a reputable shop? Who tuned the car? Does he have documentation?

Just wanted to present the unpopular opinion. Lots of people are going off "stereotype" that all modded cars are beat to hell. Not always true.

Good luck

Recently in the same situation, I went for the modded car. After looking at the mods I realized it's what I had planned to do anyway except I didn't have to pay for it or have the car down while I did it. The car looked good, sounded good and drove like a dream plus it has all the power I need....for now.

He said the newer less miles 03 car is 2k less than the modded 02.... but he also said he would mod the 03 with Headers and a Vararam... 2000 saved on the unmodded 03 just went

Headers will run about 1500 or more depending on used or new and brand.. vararam couple hundred.. then if he pays someone to do it add labor.

Money cancels out, or even the 03 ends up being more when you add the mods he would put on the car according to the info he gave us.

I'd probably go with the '03 - low miles, no mods.

I'd go with the'03. Less miles, probablly a much nicer car,and if you decide you want more hp, or just some simple mods, you'll have exactly what you want and not what someone else built.

+1 for the 03, for all the reasons already posted supporting the newer one. The modded '02 sounds nice but at 2 grand more he's wanting atleast 50% of his $ outlay.... not to mention the 02 books a year older for resale consideration down the road.

Another vote for the 03!!!I'd rather do the modding myself!! The 2 grand will help pay for it,,and you STILL have a newer car with less miles!!!

I'd go with the modded car myself. Frank Tank has a great point.
