Default Which catback...

(This is all assuming my recently troubled laptop doesn't need to be replaced, which would suck)

My first mod will be just a catback for now, since my Z came with the standard C5 exhaust. (Yeah I know, my bad, lets get past it ) I'm looking for something a little more aggressive than even the Z06 Ti exhaust. I have listened to many many catbacks online, and even a few in person. I honestly like all of them. (It's tough to make this car sound bad.) I like the loud, aggressive, Borla Stingers and I like the tight sound of the Corsa. I also like everything in between. Drone won't bother me too much, as I don't do too much freeway driving, and I don't get annoyed easily by things like that.

So here is my list of priorities, and I hope some good suggestions can be made:

1) Affordability (I don't mean cheap. I'd like a well made product but I'd like it to not be a major purchase. I won't be terribly against buying used)

2) Easy to install

3) Sounds good with headers, x-pipe. (They may be coming down the road)

4) Lightweight.

Based on that list only, which one would you guys suggest?

(Also, please don't try to sell me your exhausts in this thread. I know where the Parts Wanted section is, and I frequent it.)

If affordability is your number one........

If you buy anything BUT the Ti exhaust, you will buy the Ti exhaust at some point in the future, either about the time your dyno numbers reach 420 rwhp OR you get married, whichever comes first.

Just remember "that guy" who told you to buy the Ti exhaust.

Haha well, I would get the Ti-exhaust, but I kind of feel like since it didn't come with the car, and I have to buy it anyway, I might as well get something a little louder that is noticeably not stock.

If you only plan a catback and maybe and intake, etc... then I suggest B&B bullets or whatever you can find used on the forum...

However, if you really think you'll keep the Zo6 more than a few years and you'll mod it with headers in the future.... I would STRONGLY recommend getting a factory Ti.

Besides, Ti's are cheap, and if you really want to make them louder, the bypass mod makes a nice improvement while keeping the exotic[type] sound and light weight.

Plus they are cheap, easy to install, and are nice and light...

Corsa Extremes

Look at the design - it's straight thru at wot; weight is very close to the TI's.

BUT- sound is very very subjective

I was just showing my car to another forum member last night, bone stock with modded Ti. His comment when I gunned it (over 3K) is, "wow, it really does reward you"

Cheap, light, NO DRONE, not loud inside the car, but REALLY screams when you get on it.

I would HIGHLY suggest doing this instead of aftermarket with the possible exception of GHL...
