I have some and never liked them. I always had issues with them sliding as I was trying to pull up.
If you're set on ramps, Race Ramps makes a nice [yet expensive] product. Those didn't fill my needs, either...and I wasn't ready for a hydraulic lift...so I bought a Kwiklift.
the kwik lift is the poor man's solution. works great and is for all of us that don't have the ceiling clearance for a 2 or 4 poster. it was the only option i had, and i had the same problem with the ramps sliding across the drive as i tried to drive up on them.
I use Brute Race Ramps. They never slide and are longer, wider, higher and lighter than Rhino Ramps but are also costlier. Plus mine are 2 piece so that you can remove the ramp section out of your way once the car is up.
Been using the same set of Race Ramps everyday for over 2 years now with not one problem. I have the 56" ramps and can pull my lowered 6-Speed Z up on them forward or reverse with no problems. I had those cheap little plastic ramps and threw them as far away as possible after buying the Race Ramps. Might even pick up a new set of the 67" 2-Piece ramps after the SEMA show.
Used 2 x 10 lumber, 3" deck screws, carpenters wood glue
Total cost $ 40.00
Tools required
circular saw, cordless drill, drill bits, ruler, level
The ramps are 60" long with 2 approach angles.
The first 24" of the ramp are set at a 9 degree angle to avoid scraping the front. the next 24" of ramp are set at a 15 degree angle and the last 12" are a flat box that the tire sits on and is 12" off ground and has a stopper so you dont roll off.
If you want pictures or an image of the design..let me know!
Rhino ramps suck for a C5. I have the 12000 version and only use it for my SUV now. Got the 67" race ramps with the extensions for my lowered C5 vert. The race ramps are light weight, easy to move & store and don't slide. They are expensive, but so was the $2,000 repair to my rocker panels when the Rhino Ramps slid and cracked both rocker panels .
Please be careful using Rhino ramps. In August, I had my 99 roll down the ramps with me under it ….
20/20 hind sight, I obviously didn’t check to see if the car was secure …. I’ve changed the oil over 50 times in the last 10 years (247,000 miles) without any problems. As mentioned above you have to raise the rear of the car to drain the oil. My guess is as I raised the back of the car it pulled the car over the little lips on the ramps so when I reached up to put the wrench on the drain plug the car just rolled down the ramps pinning me….. 15 minutes later, thanks to 911, I was out … fortunately, nothing was broken or damaged although it took more than a month to swing a softball bat ……
So, if you’re going to use ramps…. Double check for safety and use wedges to prevent rolling

That's a terrible situation and glad you made it out without too much pain but, is that really to be blamed on the ramps?
Mine slipped all over the place. Didn't matter what surface I put them on and yes the rubber feet are in place.
I ended up bolting 2 pieces of 2x4 to the floor to act as a bump stop for parking and they double to keep the ramps from scooting across the floor. Got a 2fer on that one

There's documented events where rhino ramps will bust or explode without warning. I built wood ramps and only use rhino ramps temporarily now if I have no other choice.
A really simple solution for sliding ramps is the common door mat. Just place one under the back end of each ramp and you'll have no issues with movement of the ramps.
Same idea, but I bought a pair of those real cheap rubber floor mats from Pep Boys for like $5. Put them under the fronts of the ramps and they'll never move again
have had rhino ramps for 6 years or so now never a problem. I actually lost one of the rubber feet and now have no rubber feet and only time they have ever slipped is when pullin a car up thats an auto and holding the brake a bit as i go up the front brakes will grab a bit much but otherwise never an issue, no preramps for stock ride height c5 either
I put on the Magnaflow CAT back version and it sounds great. Any louder and it might become overbearing on the highway. Got to keep in mind that the wife drives it also, and she is pretty conservative.
