I have the failure of my EBCM (complete now - it was just about once a month and when you restarted it would be good) so I am going to send it to Brandon at ABSFIXER.

My question is after I pull it, I understand I can continue to drive my Vette (just with no ABS, Traction Control or Active handling). Do I need to plastic wrap anything... the electrical connector or the base that the EBCM is removed from?

Thanks

Wrapping it with plastic would almost certainly allow moisture to adhere itself to the electrical contacts, so I'd avoid that scenario unless you have a small desiccant bag to place inside. It sounds like your C5 is your only vehicle? If that's the case and you have to drive the car, using cotton to keep the dirt out may be the better way to go.

Hadn't thought about the condensation when I sent mine out. I did wrap it though (both the connector and the open end of the brake valve). Worked fine for me.

I had mine done almost two years ago and I remember the turn around time was really fast. Three or four days as I recall. I didn't drive mine while it was out but I think you should cover it and the plug with something to keep dirt and dust out.
