Default Aztec Gold Corvette

This will be a small thread.... Other than the gold color is there any differance between the Aztec Gold Corvette and a normal C5? I know there was a limited amount of the Aztec Gold Corvette made (15).

No difference whatsoever, except that the 15 Aztec Golds and 14 Navy Blues were only sold to GM employees NEW - you couldn't order one.

24k gold paint. Just kidding. They're really rare. Other than that no difference.

Nice car, 70 grand for a 98 seems like a lot but with only 15 made who know how much it will be worth down the road

Saw one of them at the NCM when I was ther in Sept. They said they were built 5 at time and after they still had problems with the paint after the 3rd group of 5 they stopped making them in that color. FWIW

Down the road the [hugely increased] value would depend on still having the factory paint in great shape... which means no driving.

Nice footnote in history, but I'll let somebody else enjoy a garage ornament... Life is too short to waste!

With 123,000 miles on my 1998 Daily Driver, it is just a car (a GREAT car, but still just a car).

Not a bit of difference other than the color. Of course with only 15 made, the Aztec Gold is really rare. I saw one a Kerbecks years ago and IMO it was a nice color for the C5.
