Im am getting ready to have QTP Exhuast Cutouts installed next week and the guy has never done any kind of cutouts before. He does really good exhaust work though. Only thing we arent to sure about is how to go about running the wires from the cut outs to the switch. I talked to some one at QTP and they told me just to look for a plastic piece to cut through and run there. I dont really wanna do any cutting. I was wondering if someone here might have some advice on how to run the wires or have some pics of where they ran them.
Hi, I ran my wires thru the grommet that the emergency brake goes thru. From there, just go under the center console to the dash. Its pretty easy. Here's a youtube video of my qtp cutouts.
thanks for letting me know! Is the center console of a vett hard to take apart. Ive always messed around on other cars, but Im scared that I might mess my vett up.
I found a polarity switching remote control that I plan to install on a set of QTP cut outs within the next couple of weeks.
Instead of having to find a place to mount the manual toggle switch, I will be able to control the butterfly valves using a key-fob type remote.

Vettes are acually rather easy to dismantle especially the interior.

Mine work great and they sound sweet! I havent had the check engine come on, so I would say its safe. I ordered the digital switch from QTP. It got lost in the mail......so, still waiting on that. If I ever get around to putting batteries in my camera, Ill throw some pics up here. Im gonna try and run the swith to my center console. Hopefully all goes well!

If you don't want to drill a hole or mess with mounting a manual control, you might consider installing a remote control relay to open and close them.
Well, I ended up running the wires up along the fuel rails and into the grommet that the hood release cables run through. Still waiting on my new switch though.

Your cutouts must be installed right off the headers at the front of the car. Which switch are you going to install?
There was no room for them to go there. Put them towards the end right were the pipes start to widen out, only place I could find enough room. I could be wrong though, but I didnt see any room at all to go on after the headers. I ordered the QTP QTEC Controller. Got lost in the mail like 3 weeks ago.

Sure. I will try and get some batteries in my camera after work today, and if its not dark Ill do it today. If anything, I will get them on this weekend. Now to figure out how to do pics on here.
Just finished connecting the remote control for the electric cutouts on the Z06, and it works great!
Instead of a manual switch, we connected a polarity reversing remote control relay..
Now, it has a remote for the NPP exhaust, remote for the cutouts, and we are thinking about a remote to bypass the NAV lockout. Need a program to keep up with all the remotes!
