Default 2008 rims

Looking to see if a set of 2008 rims will fit on a 1998. They are 18x8.5 and rear 19x10. Thanks for any input.

you need a 1" spacer for the rear to look right.

I agree with above. They fit and lok great, but you need that spacer in the rear. They look to pushed in without this.

...in other words the lug patterns are the same but the offset (how far the wheel sticks out or tucks in) is different between the C5 and the C6. The spacer takes care of that difference.

This is an OEM C5 rear wheel on a 1999 C5.

This is an OEM C6 rear wheel, without a spacer, on the same car.

I really don't see that there is much difference in how they look in the wheel well. However, some cars may require a 1/4 inch spacer to prevent the rear tire from rubbing the wheel well.

hmmmm.... interesting. Good comparison shots. I thought they had to be C6 repros to look that close.

Here's my C5 with the wheels off my 08 on it. I did use a 1/4" spacer on the rear to keep the tires from rubbing the inner fender on hard cornering.
