I bought my 2004 new and almost traded it in on a 2009 but the trade in price was to low for me to let it go. To many mods make it more valuable to me than anyone else I only had 24K miles on it so it was still like new to me. I then decided to put new seat covers on and upgrade the interior and engine bay. So yes, I am planning to keep my C5 for life.

As much as I love my FRC, a C6Z would convince me to get rid of it. In a perfect world, I would love to keep it forever.

Depends on how long I live.....

I've had a C3 and C4 that I no longer own. I might just like a C7 or C8 at some point.

Brought mine and from the first look of the 2003 50th AE coupe I fell in love and plan on having till I die.

I should add something. I recently found what seemed like a small problem. But that small 'Module' and parts came to close to $2200.00 to set right. Of course I'm very happy that a while back i bought the extended warranty. But all things considered, both with our wonderful governments constant invasion of all things auotmotive, And I truly think that our years of love with the automobile may be waning soon. There will always be 'Transportation', but the years of the true Automobile are coming to a close. I can see a point, where just keeping it up and running may come to a silent close. I believe at that point it gets parked in the same garage, disconnet the battery, put the cotton cover on it and close the door. Perhaps the grandchildren may well want it. but I'll never be without it.

I would like to keep mine around and eventually hand it down to my son. It used to be my daily driver but i got another car so i dont rack up the mileage so fast @ 120 miles a day.

Well if my personal history shows anything, it shows that I know what I like. I bought a 69 Camaro SS in 1981 from the original owner and have kept it to this very day.

I think it's just like your wife; if you love your wife or car enough, you'll never find that 'something better'.

He said "I'll love you till I die" She said "you'll forget in time",
George Jones words from "He stopped loving her today". Thats how I feel about my c-5! I think I will pop me a beer and go to the garage and just hold her for a while.......
I'll love my c-5 till they place a wreath upon my door, Dave

Yes, when the time comes my sons will have to decide what to do with it. It's a black 02 coupe with torch red interior and automatic with 16,000 miles.

Just got my 1st this year. My neighbor came over and ask why would I get such a thing. I'm 57, he's got me by a few years, maybe 5. It's a black vert and I got the comment on how hard they are to keep clean. They are just as hard to keep clean as any color, you just see the dirt easier, I said.

While we don't talk everyday or anything, he has shown up in my driveway more sense I have the vette, then he has in the 17 years living there. So one day he comes over when I got the hood open and asked "did you hurt it already"? No I says. Oh he says. We talk for awhile and I guess I ended up saying that "this might just be the last car I'll ever own". "really" he says. I have other cars and may replace one of them, I figure "I'll probably die with this one". "you think so" he says. "YES" I says

Ether this one or another one I think. Like many, I want more HP and some other mods. It may be cheaper to buy some other one (C5) or mod this one, who knows. Mine is a DD and I may have to recycle it one day, but I will replace with the vette. I hope one of you folks out there have taken real good care of one, so if I do have to replace one day I'll get another nice vette cheap.
