Question about the tunnel plate...the Lg one has a hole while the stock one doesnt. What is the hole for?
You know, I had NO CLUE what that hole was for either. It actually has two holes, if I remember right. Then, during the header install... it became quickly obvious.
The headers take up a lot more space under the car, and it leaves little room to run cables to the O2 sensors. Mainly, the issue becomes keeping the cables from touching the headers which would burn them. The holes in the tunnel plate let you route cables ABOVE the tunnel plate, and then they drop out right about where the O2 sensors are. Thus, the cables are separated from the headers by the plate. The instructions actually call for drilling a 1.5" hole in the stock tunnel plate so you can do just that. LG saves you the trouble by pre-drilling their tunnel plates.

Nice. It's always good to see design excellence in the aftermarket.
My LG Streets are still in the box as I'm waiting to pull the trigger on LG's big 3 cat-backs. After seeing your pics of the tunnel plate, I'm going to add that too.....
That looks awesome. Someday I am gonna install long tubes but i am gonna have someone else do it. Heck I am all stressed out over my up coming vararam install I could never do a header job without having a heart attack
Bring your stuff down here, Steve - we'll get all in for you
Great job. How about a sound clip. I love my system and have attached a sound clip for your enjoyment. I have the street series system with HF cats and the Z06 Ti's in the rear.

Heck I might take you up on that offer someday. Katech just E-mailed me and said they don't install headers on registered cars anymore cause it is illegal. I told them I still wanted high flow cats but the install from them is a no go
Right now, she runs great, but after revving the engine and letting the idle fall back down, sometimes it dips to about 500 and then picks back up. Not sure what is causing that but it's a minor thing at this point. I'll need to get a road test (in April) out of the way to see how it's really going to perform.

Nice job.
In April you'll want to get that car tuned and she'll run great..
