Default Need Help Removing Computer

Trying to get the computer out to send off for a tune. Removed the two side screws from the brackets and the two screws that mount the harnesses to the computer but can't get the computer to budge. Need some quick advice/help. Thanks in advance.

I just pulled mine out and had the same problem. Try tapping with a rubber hammer while pulling it straight out. You will probably see some fine dirt start falling while you are tapping on it. It should come out. Mines a nassau blue coupe also. Maybe it's the color.

I believe there is a 3rd screw that holds that "front" bracket on, that is located way on the aft side where you can hardly reach. Did you get that screw?

ALso, a lot of computers apparently get "stuck" to the back bracket. Some sort or corrosion or something seems to weld it pretty good. I actually broke my bracket while trying to get the computer out.

If that happens to you, be glad that the brackets are only $15-$20 at the dealer! I got a brand new bracket and life is good.

Thanks, guys. I guess we'll just have to get rough with it. I'm just hope I don't break something loose in the computer.

Just hold the computer firmly, because IF you break the mounting bracket... the sudden lack of resistance means the computer is likely to fly out of your hands. Ask me how I know.

Good tips! It was a PITA when I got mine out and sent to ECS, but well worth it.
