got these for Christmas ... seems like a goofy design. anyone using these? I'm just holding it in place here ... I emailed Ecklers and they said yes this is the correct part for a c5 and that's what it would look like mounted.
Strange. The splash guards I have are just a flat piece of plastic. The cost was low and the look is nice. There are three dimentional ones like yours that do look better. I'm glad I stuck with the flat ones as the fronts scrape the ground on hard corners. I think if they were not flat, they would have been ripped off as they would not flex like the flat ones.
I've got em-work great. You might want to sand them to get them to fit PERFECT. In all honesty, you probably only need the front ones since the front wheels cause most of the paint damage.
Here are some pics of my splash guards. I got the set that was already painted to match my car. Installation is easy but you must be precise -- Measure twice and drill once!!!
I guess you can't see the inboard part of it unless you crouch down and look. Just seems strange to have that open part hanging out there (rightmost side of my pic in the OP). I'll get my son to hold it in place while I walk around from different angles. I want them more for function rather than form.
I have the same ones in black. My wife and I put them on our 02 coupe last year. We measured MANY times before we drilled (and had to pull off the back wheels). We spent about 2 hours making sure we got them on right, and tight. But, in the end, it was worth it. They look great / like OEM. Good luck.

I prefer those flat ones that Eckler's sells. No drilling. I ordered mine direct from the maker and had them shortened 1" for no scraping (no extra charge). autoxtc.com and whispermotorsports.com
Yes they do look funky, but they seems to prevent small rock chips from occuring on the panels behind them. All that I noticed from the rear wheel area is that the exhaust mufflers gets dirty more than normal. I like them for my car.
Your fender guards look great! I have not seen an after market guard that I like yet.
Are there any C6 for the "front" that can be modified?
I am getting chips on the lower rocker panel (both sides) just below the door in front of the rear wheel well where the slight body flare is. I believe these chips are coming from road junk kicked up from the front tires.
