I've got an 04Z06 and wanted to know of available good bang for the buck performance mods that can give me some more power.

Know/Recommend any under $500?

I wanna get something now...otherwise have to wait a couple of months for my Notary business to pick up and get some more spending cash.

Here's the short list of what I have now:

1. Vararam Intake
2. Callaway Shifter
3. MAM XPipe + Exhaust

Thanks! Gonna start searching...but before I do:

Q's:

1. Underdrive Pulley: What brand is recommended? Any supporting vendors have them for sale? What gain is this going to give me? What's a good Price?

2. Tune: Not too educated on this...but would this mean mailing my Computer unit to someone? Or getting something like a Diablo/Superchips handheld Tuner? What gain is this going to give me? What's a good Price?

Is the tune a one time thing? Or do I have to tune as I add more mods on? On the side I'm saving up for a Cam and whatever else I need to support the cam upgrade. So will I have to tune again? What is the 1st time cost and cost to re-tune?

Depends on the shop. Usually if you have a shop dyno tune your car then have them cam it/heads (or add different mods) the retune is free or at at least a reduced rate.

You can get your own handheld tuner for about $500

Underdrive pulleys are a pain to install on C5s, unless you are doing a cam at the same time.
Maybe consider getting better seats...

cam and intake. I think that should put you right at the 500 hp mark. of course you will need a good tune after that. i dont know about handheld tuners - since my experience is they get you running but they are no replacement for a good dyno tune

Nitrous, but a setup might be a little more than 500

What Cam and Intake Manifold setup are you referring to that is around $500?

A friend told me that getting a cam would require me to need upgraded, heads, lifters, headers, etc. so it would be at least $3000

No you misread, I said cam and intake. You can get a cam setup for about 250-350 and an intake from 150-350 (depending on what you want and such - ie. some can do a make your own intake for cheap.....)

You wouldnt have to do all the before mentioned things until you want to. You can get a cam that will max out your ls1 heads, and btw you can get some 243 heads for like 250 on the forum too (used of course). So, if you go that route..... you are in the realm of 750 roughly...

I have seen people with intake, manifold, cam, heads, and exhaust pumping 450+hp all around this forum, and to tell you the truth that pretty good since I am going to be putting down about 550-600 with an intake, maggie s/c, fuel, stock heads reworked, ls9 cam, long tube headers and exhaust

Then like I said you will need a tune.
